Town Hall Meetings*
-
We will be helping the WRHSRC to secure flags for all classrooms in the high school
-
We promote education in government (citizenship). In the past, the BCRW (who will receive dessert auction funding from this event) has purchased constitutions for all students in one grade of the schools. I would have to get you details about this.
-
We actively work to encourage people to vote, providing them with materials to register and informing them of the dates of elections.
-
If this aforementioned upcoming bill becomes law, we might have an opportunity to be creative in community outreach regarding citizenship
-
We bring elected officials to our community - during a recent Wagon Days (our largest single economic "event" of the year) Brad Little flipped pancakes for the Papoose Club, judged a mustache contest, etc. Another year Governor Otter came over for a public ice cream picnic. Recently Brandon Woolf came to a dinner recognizing our Eagle Scouts of the year. We also had him come over to speak at the state Special Olympics last year.
